Floating is a way to take a pause from the hectic, overstimulated world as you enter into a state of deep mental and physical relaxation. By giving yourself a break from the endless input of sensory experiences, your mind has a chance to rest and recharge. After floating, you can face the world with renewed perspective and energy.

No gravity, touch, sight, or sound. Just pure nothing.

A float tank or cabin (also called an isolation tank or sensory deprivation tank) is a private spa filled with about 14” of water and 1200 pounds of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). In academic research communities it is now referred to as REST which stands for Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy.

When floating, you are fully supported and expend no physical energy to stay afloat. The water is kept at a constant temperature of around 95 degrees, which feels warm at first but soon becomes almost imperceptible. When and if you choose to turn out the lights, your eyes can rest in a comforting darkness that remains the same when your eyes are both open and closed. External sounds are kept to an absolute minimum through extensive soundproofing throughout the float room, earplugs, and the design of the tanks themselves.
